Gordon and Laura met at the age of 16 when Laura attended a new sixth form in a small rural village. This was breaking news in such a small village but they both only had eyes for each other. For such a romantic journey, these two laid back love birds took over 13 years to tie the knot. This laid back attitude was reflected throughout the day, with no bridezilla or groomzilla moments, but just a perfect fairytale wedding.
The wedding was in the most magical setting at St. Donats Castle, where dreams are made by night. With a definite “Hogwarts” feel, especially from the great hall and the ladies toilets (moaning mertyl made an appearance), it was hard not to get caught up in this fantasy world. With the stunning beach views, to castle walls and rose gardens, it had the feeling of a Greek Island. It is hard to believe that we were in Wales, although with a Welsh downpour on arrival the sun was certainly kind to us and shone over those beautiful hills for the rest of the day.
With music being so important to the bride and groom, the vinyls on each table were a perfect way to discover or revisit these albums. With hand made purple vases and record holders, made by the brides father, and flowers home grown by a bridesmaid's mum, there was a personal vintage feel to accommodate this grand setting in the great hall. With the bride arriving in her brothers camper van (with a questionable bow tied on by the bride's brother), to the most amazing flower girl dresses made by the brides mum, it could not of been a more classy, personal day!
