REAL WEDDING | Intimate Destination Wedding in Los Cabos | Anna Gomes Photo

Today’s destination wedding takes place in one of my favorite spots, Cabo! I just love the atmosphere there, it’s so much fun but yet has a very cultured and serene vibe as well.  Since it was a small intimate wedding, the couple opted for no bridal party. But they did have a 8 piece mariachi band that got that party started as well as the best guest book alternative ever. Check out what they did below!

From the Photographer: Norma and Andrew had been dreaming of this day for some time. They wanted a very intimate wedding with closest friends and family and have them over to an unforgettable weekend at beautiful Los Cabos. The couple chose Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach as their ultimate destination and were able to use the many resources at the all inclusive resort. To keep it small the couple opted for not having a bridal party. Sometimes this elegant option suits best couples that have too many loved-ones to pick from, as every single person who made the journey with the couple to their wedding destination was equally important in their hearts. June is a lovely month to be in Los Cabos. With summer looming around the corner, heat can be felt in earnest, but temperatures are constantly cooled by the chilly winds coming from the Pacific allowing for a great balance. Another formidable June aspect is that is late spring and so we have the most spectacular blooms and blossoms, flowers are more colorful than ever. Together with Bonnie Chase from Bliss Events Los Cabos, the couple was able to make decisions easily in spite of the distance between Cabo and Los Angeles, their home. Bonnie used her expertise to bring the personalities of bride and groom, as well as their families, into the fold, creating a magical environment both on the beach, where the ceremony was held, and on the reception dinner location, at Pueblo Bonito’s Sky Pool which sits on top of the hills high up where a huge portion of Cabo’s Pacific coast can be seen. Bride and groom got married at the beach, protected by the sun under a beautiful square shaped arch wrapped with champagne colored fabric. The groom, like the bride, wore white. Light colors were accented by boutonniere and bridal bouquet that in turn were comprised by strong yellows and pinks, all put together by the excellent Lola del Campo from Florenta. At the end of the ceremony, bride and groom celebrated their Mexican roots with a 8 piece mariachi band, who played and sang traditional songs for cocktail hour all the way to the beginning of the reception dinner held at sunset. To the delight and surprise of all guests and groom, the bride picked up the microphone and assisted by the Mariachis, serenaded her loved ones. The reception dinner decorations were unique and reflected precisely bride and groom’s desires. One single family table, lusciously decorated with gorgeous centerpieces, a brilliant mix between tall centerpieces, in which flowers cascaded and flower boxes. All flowers had warm tones yellows, oranges, reds and pinks, accented with greens. Tiny crystals over the patterned table runner, along with votives candles, finalized the splendid effect. On each place setting, the bride put a small bottle of tequila. The guest table was simply decorate with a single orange tulip and a bottle of Don Julio 1942, to be signed by guests, a clever alternative to the classic guest-book. The cake, by Cabo Flowers, was a lovely blueish shade decorated with orange ribbons and flowers. Flanking the cake table were delicious pink cupcakes. After a dinner full of emotions on the account of the many tearful and joyful speeches, guests got to the dance floor and together with the newly-wed couple, quickly turned the small and intimate wedding into a full and all-embracing party.
