Late Summer Citrus and Peach Wedding Inspiration

Nestled on a golf course overlooking the Nansemond River in Suffolk, Virginia is an Italian Renaissance-style home once known as Bay Point Farm that dates back to 1870. The home was restored in 2011 and is now recognized as The Obici House -- named after its original owner and Italian immigrant, Amedeo Obici.

Paying tribute to this historical home and the late days of summer, As You Wish Weddings, Mad Hatter Vintage Rentals and Styling, Kirstyn Marie Photography, and the entire creative team were inspired by a peach and jewel-toned citrus color palette that would be translated through a gorgeous small tiered cake, romantic calligraphy, and a variety of vintage pieces, including Italian stemware. This inspiration is a lovely mixture of rich, cultural history and fresh, modern design that honors the past and celebrates the present.
