Inspiration Board: New Year’s Eve Jewel-Toned Shoot

Brittny Drye Founder + Editor-in-Chief of Love Inc. Magazine | On-Air Wedding Expert | LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in the Wedding Industry

This lovely (and budget-friendly!) inspiration shoot by Samantha McFarlen Photography and Emily Louise Photography was inspired by the changing seasons, the transition from old to new. And with 2015 a mere hours away, change is certainly on our minds.

This pretty jewel-toned palette is certainly festive, whether you're toasting to a new year or a new marriage. Add a frothy bouquet and centerpiece, throw in some handsome succulents and a darling cake sprinkled with rosemary, and you've got yourself a party. Read below of our top inspiration takeaways after the jump.

Inspiration Takeaways:

  1. When designing, think in vignettes and look at what you already have in your home (or your friends'!). Most items seen here were found or borrowed. Vases, knick-knacks and picture frames are great for creating a tablescape for your cake or guestbook tables and they're free! Not to mention it adds a much more personal touch.
  2. Sparkly bridesmaid dresses are tough to pull off without looking Vegas glam. The unruly bouquets give it that perfect balance.
  3. Don't be afraid of color! We're obsessed with how the nearly neon pink pops against that dreamy blue.
