Ever since today’s romantic Charleston wedding landed in my inbox, I’ve been unabashedly biased toward it. Although I’m not from Charleston, I spend much of my time in this beautiful city, and I can attest to Lauren and Ali’s desire to celebrate the natural beauty of their venue, Boone Hall Plantation. Lauren and Ali’s neutral color palette draws your eye to the details of the setting (their flower girls are too cute!), and the garden-like florals only enhance the romantic feel. Beautifully planned by Natalie Knox at Boone Hall Plantation and Southern Protocol, and stunningly captured by Paige Winn Photo, this wedding is one not to be missed. Welcome to Charleston, friends!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Natalie Knox (Boone Hall Plantation) and Pamela Chakides (Southern Protocol)
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Someone who was organized and could take the reins on the planning since I live in NY and I am not local to Charleston.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Romantic and a little shabby chic
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
I loved the venue…I didn’t think it need much décor because it was so beautiful.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
On the day of don’t sweat the small things that don’t go right or exactly how was planned.
There are few things similar to driving down the Alley of Oaks as you’re welcomed to a wedding, and the Cotton Dock is one of the most picturesque settings one could ever hope to enjoy while celebrating a couple’s new nuptials. I hope you enjoyed this Charleston wedding as much as I did!
Vendors who made it all happen…
