When I was small, I used to carefully pick those little purple weeds that grow in the yard (called henbit) and deliver handfuls of them to my mother. She would respond with the most loving gratitude. The look in my mothers eyes was the first time I experienced being able to deliver joy through the art of flowers. My mother is no longer with us, but I put a little bit of my Mama's heart into every arrangement I make, and when I see that spark of joy in a clients eye, I feel the encouragement that started in my Mama's kitchen, and that is why I do what I do.
