Asian Inspired St. Pete Wedding | St. Petersburg Country Club Wedding
Mary-Charlotte and Charlie's St. Pete wedding day was filled with Asian inspired wedding decor and a color palette of orange, blue and white to reflect the couple's personalities.
“As I am half Chinese, I wanted to incorporate as much Asian inspiration as I could without using the traditional red and gold color scheme. My first thought was the variety of blue and white ‘ginger jar' vases that I grew up with. [I thought] the variety of shapes and designs would be elegant and unique as centerpieces,” the bride explained. “I added as many little Asian touches as I could, including the table numbers that I handmade with numbers written in Chinese on one side and English on the other and the take-out boxes with personalized fortune cookies inside. Charlie and his brother handmade all of the bronze fortune cookie name tag holders, – a firm representation of our creativity and love for projects!”
The St. Pete bride and groom for a St. Pete wedding photographer with a portrait style, clean and simple shots and attention to detail.
“I wanted someone who could create beautiful and romantic shots,” the bride explained. “I researched Kéra Photography on and loved her photography style! Kéra had done family holiday portraits for a friend of mine, and my friend couldn’t say enough wonderful things about her and her professionalism. Her slogan, ‘visual stories of love' was enough to seal the deal!”

Looking back, the bride's most cherished memory aside from the rain holding off for her big day day, was seeing her husband during their first look.
“Our first look in the church’s garden was the most memorable and emotional moment from our special day. Charlie’s grandparents' ashes are spread throughout the garden, and it was incredibly special to share that moment knowing their presence was all around us,” the bride reminisced.

The Proposal:
We spent our evening watching the sunset on Pass-a-Grille Beach before dinner. Charlie had been away on a rotation for grad school, and we hadn’t seen each other in a while. He made a memory book titled “Seasons of Love,” which shared our favorite photos and moments from over the last two years together. Charlie laid out a blanket for us, but before we sat down, he got down on one knee and made his proposal! It was such a special and intimate moment!
