Amanda and Mike’s gorgeously romantic wedding was nestled in the Colorado Rockies on the family’s private residence. The Las Vegas couple infused their mountain wedding with a bit of glamour and lots of and romance. We particularly loved the sail cloth tent that was strung with stunning chandeliers and market lighting then elegantly draped to add a touch of whimsy.
Amanda and Mike said their vows ceremony took place in a pine tree forest behind the family house, overlooking the Rockies. The 12-foot grand entrance was created out of soft ivory curtains that moved with the wind and the tall and mighty lodge pole pines surrounding the ceremony site were adorned with crystals and soft blush ribbon.

Why did you choose the Mountains for your wedding?
My family has a house on Shadow Creek Ranch and my husband and I have vacationed there every summer since we met.

Where did you find your inspiration?
How did you choose to personalize your wedding?
My wedding was pretty personalized considering it took place at my parent’s house and my godfather married us. However, I had always wanted a beach wedding so when we decided to have a mountain wedding instead I worked with my amazing florist to have orchids and a beach meets mountain feel.
What was your favorite part of the reception?
All of the guests enjoying themselves
What are three things you’re super glad you did?
- I’m glad my husband and I got to visit the reception site during cocktail hour so that I was able to see it before the guests
- I’m glad we hired a videographer
- I’m glad we had a photo booth to capture all of our guests’ fun photos
Anything you wished you hadn’t worried about?
- I wish I hadn’t stressed so much about the time line. I should have let my planner worry about that instead.
- I wish I had done our first dance earlier in the night before dinner
- I wish I had enjoyed the little details more
What was the biggest challenge in planning your mountain wedding and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge was getting everything to the location. Everything ended up costing more because of the travel or delivery fee.
How did you find and choose your vendors?
My wedding planner suggested most of the wedding vendors.
What is your best piece of advice to other mountain brides who are planning their weddings?
Enjoy the day and the entire process. Don’t stress about the small things. The mountains are a beautiful setting. Take a moment on your wedding day to stop and look around and enjoy all your planning and hard work.
