Boho Chic Wedding at Up the Creek Farms

Stephanie and Nevinston chose a Boho Chic style for their wedding at Up the Creek Farms in Malabar, Florida, which also happened to fall on Earth Day! The couple chose a Bohemian wedding style because they are down to earth and felt that their wedding style should match their personalities. They included macrame into their backdrop and table decor, and the backdrop actually now hangs over their bed as a constant reminder of their special day.

The macrame was accented by a dusty color scheme, which was present in the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding flowers. The florist perfectly captured their theme, using king protea in the bouquet and incorporating succulents (that were straight from the florist’s garden) into Stephanie’s flower crown and centerpieces. As for Stephanie’s wedding dress, she said “My wedding dress chose me in the cutest Boho wedding shop in Miami.”

They used stunning tall greenery centerpieces for the farm tables and created a mini garden in the center of the round tables. A few other special details included a naked cake made by their friend (they used their ring box as a topper because their original cake topper wasn’t delivered in time, and they loved the results!) and a glass globe guest book, which was perfect for an Earth Day wedding!

Overall they wanted their wedding to be the perfect representation of their love story, and it turned out beautifully!

Is there any advice you would give engaged couples about married life?

From Stephanie: “Being engaged is amazing and being married is even better! There is no reason why the “honeymoon phase” should ever have to end. In marriage, compromise is key. It’s so important that each person gives 100% of themselves to please the other. I believe its the only way to have a truly successful marriage. It’s not always easy, life can throw some curve balls but just remember: your spouse is not the enemy! You are a team and when you work together you can get through anything.”
