Coastal Virginia Engagement Session

Heather and Trey’s love story began at Costco in the most romantic comedy of ways. The pair worked there and Trey always hung around Heather’s sample booth, even partaking in red velvet cake samples even though he has zero love for the confection. He was just really, really into Heather. Like she said, “he developed a crush on me while I was wearing a hairnet — that’s how I know it was real.” We love these two! Their Ch & Sh Fredericks Photography photos portray their deep affection for one another, the lovely Virginia coast, and to top it off, we get to see their sweet pupper in their life.

How did you meet?

We both used to work at Costco. Trey worked in membership and I gave out the free samples. Trey used to stand at my cart for a majority of his lunch break, even if it meant he had to eat the samples he didn’t like 🙂

What is your proposal story?

One of our first dates, Trey took me ice skating and it was one of our favorite dates. When the Richmond 17tg Street farmers market opened a skating rink, he took me opening night and proposed in front of a beautiful Christmas decorated bell. Our families were hiding in a pub watching. It was the absolute best! We went to the Boathouse after, one of our favorite places to eat, to celebrate with our families.

Tell us about the ring/band.

I have a gorgeous 2.1 carat diamond ring, the diamond is a circle with 4 prongs. The band is sterling silver.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

We wanted to be comfortable but look nice, and also stick to a beachy theme. I went with a maxi dress with blue tones that would flow with the wind. The other ring that I am wearing the ring Trey gave me for our 6 month anniversary (6 years ago) and I’ve worn it every day since. Trey wanted to add some color so went with pink shorts and a blue button down with his favorite Michael Kors watch.
