The end of October is nearly approaching and with that marks the arrival of various cultural and holiday traditions throughout the world. Halloween is all the rage in the US, and further down south in Mexico, Dia de Muertos (or Day of the Dead) practitioners begin their three-day celebration on October 31 with a variety of bright colors, intricate designs, and heartfelt traditions in an endearing homage to loved ones. Michelle Lynn Weddings wanted to expound on the supernatural beauty of Day of the Dead with a session perfect for Mexican brides or brides wanting a creative, eclectic motif for their bridal shoot.

Petal Collective, Delaney Dobson Photography, and vendor crew found historic Barnsley Manor and it was ideal with its intricate, weathered design. The florals–ranging from peonies to roses–were boldly-colored and then relaxed with a subdued, earthy-paletted tablescape surrounded by succulents. If a Dia de Muertos themed shoot is up your alley, these catalog of gorgeous pictures are a great jumping point.
