Samantha + Kristof’s Elegantly Boho Cedarmont Farm Wedding

Earth tones combined with vintage decor and antique details all came together for Samantha and Kristof’s elegantly boho wedding at Cedarmont Farm. Their day was intimate, down to earth, and a great representation of who they are as people. And while all eyes were embracing the love the share, their adorable two year old daughter may have stole the show once… or twice! We’re total fans of everything about this day and these photos by Savannah Ashley Photography represent all the beauty. Keep scrolling to see some highlights of their day!

How did you guys meet?

Samantha: Super romantic story: We met at a nightclub in Brighton, England! It was my last day in the country and his only night in town (he was part of a bachelor party). At the time, I was working to get an online literary review off the ground and he found my email through the website. After a year of long distance, I made the leap of faith and literally leapt across the Atlantic to join him in Belgium.

Tell us about your engagement!

Samantha: I popped the question in a parking garage in downtown Franklin, Tennessee after only 4 months of dating. I was keen to say the least, but so was he because he said yes! About 7 years later, we made it official with a walk down the aisle.

What was the vision for your wedding?

Samantha: Casual, all things informal and breezy. Neither of us ever thought we would get married, and I never had any ‘dream’ wedding scenarios. I leaned entirely on my planner, Colleen [with Cedarmont Farm], and was a very hands-off bride. All things beautiful and amazing should be attributed to her as she carried the weight of our wedding and made it a stunning event!

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Samantha: Bohemian and floral.

What details were used to create your theme?

From the planner, Colleen of Cedarmont Farm: So for decor we went with earth tones, but used elements like pampas and feathers to add some interest to the florals. The vintage furniture she selected was the perfect touch to complete the elegant yet intimate feel we were going for. The antique brass candlesticks were also great paired with the macrame runners and floral garlands.

I think we did a great job balancing a few different styles from mid century modern to boho to come up with a style that was perfectly suited for Samantha and Kristof as it was down to earth and intimate, but also really striking and beautiful. Nothing was overstated. That’s why we went with the sailcloth tent because it also conveyed their vibe so perfectly. And it was something different and really pretty without being over the top.

Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?

Samantha: We definitely splurged on the drinks and had the awesome crew from Bar Magnolia bartend. Worth every cent!

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Samantha: We knew our two-year-old daughter was going to be the star of the day and she didn’t disappoint! In true toddler fashion, she wondered around during the ceremony before lounging in her dad’s arms while we repeated our vows. Having her up there with us meant the world to me.

This day is something special! Thank you so much to Samantha and Kristof and Colleen of Cedarmont Farm for sharing this day with us!
