World-Class Family Affair

One of the visions for Allyson & Tobi’s day was having their wedding being family-focused. Even with a large number of people and guests flying in from all over the world, it still felt personal and intimate to every single one. “Our guests have been raving about the family feel at our wedding!” said Allyson because they only invited those who had always been apart of their journeys.

Cultural Ties

To honor Tobi’s Nigerian roots, this couple went through a world-wide process to come up with the perfect Nigerian wedding attire. Originally set to have the whole wedding party in traditional attire for the entirety of the wedding, their plans had to change midway through due to some unforeseen circumstances. But they were able to pivot and still pull it off. It also resulted in some of our favorite photos from the night! Allyson said, “The symbolism for the desired idea was a visual representation of blending cultures at the altar. Although the attire desire didn’t work out for the ceremony, it worked for the reception. Just after the toasts and cake cutting, my husband and I slipped away and changed into our outfits and made a grand re-entrance and were embraced with a ceremonial Nigerian spraying of money to really set the party off.”
