How to Display Your Wedding Earrings
Difficulty Level: Easy

PROJECT MATERIALS
• 1.5" wide velvet ribbon (at least 6" in length)
• Fabric glue
• 1.5" wide D-ring
• Fabric scissors
OPTIONAL MATERIALS:
• Copper spray paint
• Gold spray paint
CUSTOMIZE YOUR D-RINGS
The most commonly available D-rings are silver and can be found in the sewing section of any craft store. What if silver isn't your thing? That's why we have three different metallic colors here to inspire you: silver, rose gold/copper, and yellow gold! We used the spray paints listed above. For the copper spray paint, we did find it can scratch easily, so try priming your D-ring by sanding it with fine grit sandpaper and then use a white primer spray paint. After spray painting with the metallic color you prefer, allow to dry and cure for 48 hours before crafting.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Loop your velvet ribbon onto the D-ring. On the back side of your velvet ribbon, take your fabric glue and draw a small line on one end. Fold over the straight edge of the D-ring and press to dry. Allow to fully dry for a couple of hours before handling.
ALTERNATIVE STEP
If you don't have access to fabric glue or want a no-dry time craft, you can also use a trimmed down Velcro adhesive dot.
VELVET RIBBON SOURCING TIP
If you've been around here for awhile, you'll know our intense and undying love for velvet, so we are always on the hunt for good velvet fabric materials for DIY projects. It was Etsy to the rescue again for this tutorial when we came across the Such Good Supply shop. Pardon us while we hyperventilated at all the velvet ribbons available because we have never seen so many widths and colors in one spot. If you'd like a more colorful ribbon for your earrings, be prepared to swoon.
2. Using your fabric scissors, cut your velvet ribbon with an interesting edge like a diagonal, a point, or a fork. Possibilities are endless for this one!
3. Hang your bridal earrings on your ribbon tag and voilà! That's it! You have yourself a lovely keepsake for the wedding day and after!
