Imagine the rolling vineyards of Tuscany, plenty of wine, eucalyptus matching olive green tones, and an intimate group of your closest family and friends. I don’t know about you, but it sounds like the wedding of my dreams, and Franchesca and Tim’s Tuscan dream wedding certainly looks just as pretty too.

Flying halfway across the globe from Australia, with their nearest and dearest in tow, the two married at the sweetest Tuscan villa. Choosing a venue that had countryside views but was close enough to the airport in Florence, their guests had their travels made easy.

And their journey was certainly worthwhile! Partying at the vineyard meant an endless flow of Chianti and fresh Tuscan fair. Their tables adorned with beautiful white roses and fragrant eucalyptus, making destination wedding planning seemingly effortless.

Our Love Story

We met in in Australia and moved to the UK together in 2014.

In February 2016, while we were holidaying in the swiss alps, Tim and I were walking back down the mountain after dinner. He stopped by a lamp post overlooking the town and went down on one knee to ask the question. The rest is history!

The Wedding

It was everything we wanted it to be – with our close family, good food, and we could relax and enjoy ourselves for three days. We knew we wanted a wedding in France or Italy, and after some searching, we found the beautiful Villa Vistarenni. Not only was estate lovely, but it wasn’t too far from Florence (and the main airport) which was important for us as all our guest were traveling from Australia.

We kept it simple, elegant and timeless, with a touch of a rustic – white flowers with some olive green and wood. As the wedding was symbolic, we ask our brother to be our masters of ceremony. There were lots of tears (mostly from the bride!) throughout the night and wine throughout the evening. We couldn’t have asked for more!

The Photography

Once we decided on the venue, we searched online and on Instagram for wedding photographers that had the specific style that we wanted – and Alberto & Alessandra were perfect for that!

They had a beautiful way of capturing moments that we wanted – paying homage to the lovely surroundings but focused on the bride and groom. They did such a fantastic job!

Advice to Other Couples

Do it the way you want to do it! But also have the right budget that works for you. Prioritise what you want to invest in and always try and negotiate a better price. And most important, enjoy the day!

The Honeymoon

We actually didn’t have a honeymoon straight after as our wedding was international. But about a month later, we took a short four day trip to Santorini to relax and enjoy the life!
