We’ve fallen head over heels for this intimate jewel toned North Carolina wedding from our favorite Mikkel Paige Photography! From the floor pillow lounge area to the hanging wedding cake with animal cake toppers, this whole wedding is a boho lover’s dream! Their cute pup Juno even joined in the festivities! We love all the geometric details, including the amazing display shelves housing candles that were hand-poured by the couple themselves. An amazing suspended charcuterie board spread from Belle’s Catering was the statement piece of the reception that tasted as good as it looked! This intimate wedding is absolute perfection, and we cannot wait for you to see all of the details!
Amanda + Justin – Mad Dash Wedding from Sarah Mayer
What Mikkel had to share about Amanda and Justin’s wedding:
After they excitedly recited their vows and we took some sweet family photos it was time to enjoy their reception!!! Mad Dash Wedding did such an incredible job (as always) styling their Boho inspired fall fete. Fam tables were flanked with wood and metal chairs. Concrete candle holders, dipped with gold paint, held white tapered candles as market lights illuminated the reception from above as the sun set. Mismatched, colored vintage glasses were available for guest use as modern geometric glass and metal holders provided homes for pops of soft floral details. A variety of rugs and throw pillows cushioned the ground around custom, low grey wooden tables specifically designed for Mad Dash Weddings.
A few absolute show-stoppers of their wedding day included the charcuterie display Belle’s Catering put together and the cake on the front porch, which Mad Dash Weddings also custom designed; it was suspended from the ceiling of the porch with thick rope and rested on a polished round wood board decorated with fall flowers. The two-tier buttercream cake was on trend with it’s “concrete” inspired buttercream design, topped with a cake-topper of the couple’s dog and cat. Both of whom, might I add, have sparkling blue eyes like the bride, Amanda.
Their cake cutting was complimented by an adorable hand-painted bride and groom plate and beautiful ceramic gold and white cake cutlery. Amanda was able to incorporate a very special wedding detail for dessert: a cheers with Justin using her grandmother’s colored glass wine glasses, which she used on her wedding day decades before. After the cake was cut everyone munched on delicious food from Belle’s Catering, including egg rolls served in bamboo cup and meatballs and Caprese skewers. They danced well into the evening hours to the sounds from Bunn DJ Company.
