Tell us about your wedding vision.

My wedding, unfortunately, happened during COVID-19 but we didn’t let that stop us. We had a very intimate ceremony with just our family. Then we had our reception with our wedding party in my family’s barn in Lubbock. Our wedding was very rustic and simple. Our colors were blush and sage.

Tell us about your attire choices.

We had all our guests dress rustic-themed. Boots, jeans, sundresses. I had all my girls wear boots with their dresses and the men wore jeans and boots

What was most important to you two? Was there anything you chose to splurge on or skip?

The most important part was making sure we were present during everything and not stressing about what didn’t happen right.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

Getting ready with my girls!

Tell us about your wedding flowers.

I had my maid of honor make our bouquets. I had white peonies white lots of greenery. Then my bridesmaids had blush peonies with greenery. It was beautiful!

Tell us about your wedding cake.

We decided on a naked cake made by a local baker. It was 3 tiered with white and blush flowers.

Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?

My grandparents got me a sixpence to put in my boot when we got married and I also was able to wear my grandma’s pearls.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Don’t worry about making sure everything is perfect because something will always go wrong and you need to enjoy time with your new husband or wife!
