Romantic, heartfelt, and meaningful, today’s garden wedding took place in Miami and is one of the most stunning days we’ve laid eyes on. Karem and Drew turned to Liz & Lex Events to assist them in creating a day that incorporated their love for travel and drew inspiration from where they were engaged- Paris. Beneath bistro lights and among the lush greenery of Miami Botanical Garden, a color palette of lavender, creamy white, and burgundy created the most romantic of ambiances. The stunning bride Karem was kind enough to impart a few of her insights with us, of which we are so very thankful to share with you below. Elaine Palladino was there to capture all of the moments and details (you definitely don’t want to miss their First Look!), and we think you’re going to be as blown away as we are each and every time we see each image.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Initially what helped most in planning my wedding was looking at blogs and Pinterest. When I saw vendors I liked I made note. Then I hired Liz and Lex who were amazing. They helped me put the rest of my vision together and finish hiring vendors.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

When deciding who to work with, I felt the most important thing was that I felt at ease with the vendors. Your wedding day is so big and stressful as it is that you don’t want vendors that add to that stress. I also wanted vendors who saw my vision.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My now husband and I wanted a very organic feel to out wedding. We centered the design around the idea of a romantic outdoor garden. We had small travel details as we both have a passion for traveling. We both grew up in Miami and did not want a beach theme so an outdoor garden wedding was more our taste.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about the wedding was the overall look and how easy and care free the whole thing went. Every guest that attended loved everything. I still have guests talking about it a year later. I never had to worry about everything because the vendors I chose were the best in the industry.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Hire a planner! Amber and Chanda (Liz and Lex) were what made everything so smooth and allowed me and my husband to actually enjoy our wedding. We look back and there isn’t one time we could say I wish this didn’t happen or that it wasn’t that hectic because it was PERFECT.

We of course 100% agree with Karem to hire a planner. We love that she hired the absolute best vendors in her area, and she knew that she didn’t have to worry about a thing on her wedding day- except to enjoy it!
