Modern and Urban Engagement Session with Foodie Couple

Michelle and Igor bonded over their love of food via Bumble in Los Angeles. Their love story saw them becoming New York transplants when Igor accepted the very cool position of executive chef at a hotel in the Meatpacking District. They had a sleek and chic e-session with Apollo Fields, and a sweet visitor of the pair made a cute appearance! (Harrison is adorable, guys!)

How did you meet?

Igor and I met on Bumble in September of 2018. After matching and exchanging messages on the platform about our mutual passion for food, Japanese whiskey, and Stephen King, we set a date to meet. Two bottles of wine, charcuterie and cheese, and hours of conversation later, we knew this was the start of our love story.

What is your proposal story?

In planning our one year anniversary dinner, Igor, unbeknownst to me, was able to get tickets to Vladimir Muhin’s White Rabbit pop up at Vespertine in Los Angeles, CA. After being wined and dined, Igor wowed me by proposing in the restaurant’s outdoor garden.

Tell us about the ring/band.

When I worked for Intercontinental in Downtown Los Angeles, I befriended an amazing woman whom was a jeweler for over 20 years in LA. Her son owns a company called YSI diamonds and he custom made me a ring that has been graded by the AIGI with a 2.41 ct pear shaped Columbian Emerald in the center, surrounded by 23 round 1.20 ct VS1-VS2 Diamonds.
