There is no wonder that the seaside is one of everyone’s very favourite spots to get married, and today’s team wanted to highlight every bit of that beauty, with a stunning modern twist.

With the brand new Tweed Coast venue of Ancora playing backdrop, the team, led by Casuarina Weddings, with photographer Figtree Pictures, worked to create a relaxed coastal beach look that played off a colour palette of navy blues, musk pink, white and beautiful seaside textures of naturally toned rattan, delicate shells and oh my golly – the most amazing handpainted wedding cakes.

The celebration kicked off with navy, gold and white invitations by KB Lettering, complete with anchor motif, inviting guests to an outdoor ceremony. Styled by Hampton Event Hire, rows of white metal chairs complemented the backdrop of white mesh adorned in white Phalaenopsis orchids, pink blooms and the greenery of ferns which set the scene for an outdoor ceremony officiated by Benjamin Carlyle.

Our bride and groom, Grace Tilley and Shaun Collins, were dressed in relaxed, coastal wedding-appropriate pieces from When Freddie Met Lilly with hair and makeup by Foxs Lane Styling and The Luxe Beauty Co. They adjourned to the indoor reception to celebrate with their guests over fresh coconut cocktails.

The stunning white walls and hardwood floor of Ancora made the perfect setting for a long table, from and styled by Hampton Event Hire, underneath a hanging installation of greenery and rattan lights by Elyssium Lighting. Our guests dined among endless pillar candles, the natural tones of fresh coconuts, delicate shells and beautiful linens.

But it was the handpainted cakes that was the thing of dreams. The Cake That Ate Paris created two masterpieces that were the jewels in the crown of the dessert table.
