Retro Love and The Cutest Hand Lettered Pie Ever

In the early days of their relationship, Joanna and Jordan picnicked at Munden Point Park in Virginia Beach, so when choosing their engagement session location with Molly Lichten Photography, it seemed only fitting to return to such a pretty place full of so many wonderful memories. With dried flowers, a festive primary color palette of blue, red, and pops of yellow, vintage cameras and bicycles, and a thermos of hot cocoa plus a homemade hand lettered "Nuño" fruit pie, Joanna and Jordan's engagement session combined all the necessary ingredients for a sweet new memory to add to their love story.

It's no surprise that Joanna and Jordan love modern takes on vintage fashion when you see their picnic celebration (and the bride-to-be's Gatsby-inspired ring with alternative stones)! Joanna is an art director and designer and styled the entire shoot down to the personalized "Forever & Always Nuño" heart patch and the final touch of Jordan's Volkwagen pin as an homage to his being a VW technician and enthusiast. We can't get enough of how perfectly everything came together!

With enamel camping mugs and a cozy plaid blanket, the picnic setup was complied of some new, but mostly things Jordan and Joanna had already collected for their home... which is literally the best way to setup an engagement vignette and their upcoming chapter as newlyweds.
