Romantic and Elegant Lakeside Elopement

Lake of the woods resort is located in the beautiful Oregon Cascade Mountains surrounded by spectacular waterfalls, miles of hiking trails, and vast forest. This special shoot from Beyond The Gates Photo features a candle lit dock adorned with gorgeous white and green flower towers set against a clear lake and tree covered mountains that framed a towering snow caped peak. It was the perfect setting for a stunning intimate lake side celebration of love, or elopement.

The sweet heart table sits as a silhouette at the lake shore, just feet away from the calm waters, gently caressing the shoreline where the warm golden light of the sunset reflects off of the clear lake creating an ambiance to be truly desired highlighting a stunning snow covered deck with pine trees lightly dusted with the white snow as if a dusting of powdered sugar to sweeten up our view. And a Finale Kiss with a dip that we shall surely not forget!

What was your design inspiration?

Our design inspiration was the dock floating on the calm lake and the beautiful green towering pine trees. The stunning Pine covered mountains. Bringing Luxury elopements to the rustic outdoors.

Describe your flowers.

Our flowers were simple, delicate, elegant and seasonal. We used greenery with pops of white for a simple yet lux and classy look.

Describe your cake.

We decided to think outside the box, since this location is a ways from the local towns we wanted something that would be easier to carry and set up, yet would still be classy and elegant. What better than mini donuts, adorned in the colors surrounding us with pops of white edible crystals and gold edible pearls. They were truly elegant!

Tell us about your attire choices.

Our bride and groom models, a real life couple who married 3 years ago, chose to wear their own wedding attire.

Please describe any DIY, handmade or personal details.

Bridesmaids and guest gifts were beautiful handmade nontoxic candles by a local shop with scents to compliment our pacific northwest and surrounding cascades. We lit one of the candles in the cabin while the bride and groom were getting ready and it’s scent really set the mood for our event. They come in gift size and favor size in sweet customizable tins.

Describe the tablescape elements.

Our table scape was soft, romantic and elegant. Slightly adorned with some greenery and florals. The couples meal was lit by tall slender candle sticks that sat on a soft tulle table runner that gently flowed as the wind blew. The place settings and glassware elegantly complement the natural elements around us. The Meal providing a pop of color on the table and bit of warmth amid the soft snow dusting.
