Romantic & Classic Los Angeles Wedding at Carondelet House

"Mat & Ling were gathered by their closet friends and family for their most perfect day ever. The day started at the beautiful Terranea Resort with views of the California coast from their rooms. Everything about Mat's details were classic, timeless and elegant. Even their pup, Splinter, was dressed up for the occasion. The ceremony was held at Wayfarer's Chapel, which I think has to be one of the most beautiful chapel's in California. Made entirely with glass, under green trees and cliff side to the Pacific Ocean. The most romantic setting to exchange vows! After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Carondelet House in Los Angeles. This place is a perfect spot for a wedding, with plenty of space to entertain your guests. Adorned with vintage, yet hip furniture, brings this place to life and gives you that "LA" vibe. The table numbers were made of mini globes. Mat and Ling do travel bloggers as a hobby (www.lingerabroad.com) so this was a brilliant way to incorporate personal touches to their reception. All the delicate blush and pinks kept the mood soft and romantic." - Jessica Lynn Photography

The Proposal:
We were in Iceland, the last leg of our month long European trip. We were both hiking down Skogafoss, one of the iconic waterfalls in Iceland when Ling popped the question with the help of my (MaTheresa) parents. That same night we saw our very first and strongest northern lights display.

How did you choose your venue? We love the old world 1920's charm of the Carondelet House, saw the interior of it online and fell in love. Wayfarer's chapel has such amazing architecture and surrounding, I love how small it was because I've always pictured my wedding to feel intimate and at the same time packed with people that we love and care about.

Memories from wedding day:
Everything went perfectly on the day of the wedding. Seeing everyone you both love and care about, supporting and celebrating your love is just magical. Seeing how all your hard work and months of planning and dreaming about the big day and then suddenly its there.

How did you find your wedding vendors?
We had a lot of time planning. I found my photographer on Instagram, saw her feed and loved her work. My florist, DJ, and wedding coordinator were referred by a friend. Then our cocktail hour duo, was on google search.. I just got lucky, they're such gems! My videographer was on my Facebook feed suggestion.
