Timeless and sweet, this Virginia manor wedding from Molly Lichten Photography is a must see! The couple kept everything very natural and organic, choosing a light blue and green color palette. The ceremony location under a giant tree is absolutely dreamy. We are loving all of the acrylic details that brought the perfect modern touch to the reception.
Our vision behind our wedding day was to be a refreshing natural day. Nothing overwhelming. Effortlessly elegant. And that’s exactly what it was. The soft tones, the greenery, nature and our guests made our day the most perfect day. Our ceremony was outside in a garden with minimal decorations. We used nature as background, because after all who can compete with nature? Our color choices were soft tones and bridesmaids chose what style dress they wanted to wear. I wanted a more natural day rather than forced.
My gown was gray and ivory. It spoke out to me when I tried It on. It screamed pure, natural, and simple- yet elegant. I didn’t Feel comfortable wearing all white and so this dress was the perfect match.
My favorite part of the day was seeing Matt for the first time. We had decided to not do a first look and see each other for the first time at the alter. I was Crying, laughing, freaking out all at the same time. He was crying, laughing, freaking out all at the same time too. We were both full of joy and despite all the people around and cameras, we only saw each other.
We wanted the theme to be natural. For our flowers they were mostly greenery. We wanted to use nature as much as we could. Our colors were shades of grays, and greens. These to us were refreshing, calm, elegant but most all — natural.
My father and I ‘s first dance was traditional dancing rather than slow dance. It was dabke which is middle eastern line dancing. It was nice to incorporate my Kurdish culture into our wedding day.
