Haeley and Jessi are the sweetest brides ever! We love how they were so clear on their wedding vision and values and budgeted to accommodate those. For instance, the venue was an important splurge, but they decided to toss alcohol! Their DIY details are just gorgeous and their sweet puppy got to take center stage too!

Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

We DIYed everything that we could from the bouquets and boutonnieres to the signs!

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

Most signage was created for us by Haeley. We chose songs that represented us through the years and set the tone for our day. We also chose the timeline of our day strategically to make sure the day was spent together and was fun- including getting mostly ready together and with our full I Do Crew by our sides!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Haeley: Our first look, for sure!

Jessi: Reading our vows during the ceremony!

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Dry wedding!!! No alcohol costs saved us so much. That and DIYing florals, signage, and more help us save in lots of areas.

What was your biggest splurge?

Our biggest splurges were our photography and venue choice. We had very specific requirements for both and were able to set aside the most money for those two vendors.

What were your favorite details?

Haeley: Guestbook area and the pockets on my dress 🙂

Jessi: Our PowerPoint slides we presented in the reception area including baby photos of each of us and photos of us through the years.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Start early and check-in with your partner often! A lot of times it will feel overwhelming and if you’re anything like me, you feel like you can’t do anything on the to-do list when it gets so long, but tackling things one by one and with your partner makes it manageable!

And 100% hire a planner!!! We couldn’t have made it through the planning process or the day of, without ours!
