Timeless Tuscan Wedding Inspiration in Red, White & Blue

Taking place at Il Borro, a castle located in the heart of Tuscany but not far from the city of Florence, today’s wedding editorial is full of inspiration for a fairytale wedding. It is an elegant and timeless affair in a beautiful palette of red, white and blue.

The Tuscan Wedding wanted to create a unique feel, mixing cool and warm colors in their shoot. They used blues, grays, and greens for the cool, and sprinkled pops of cherry red for the warm. Then they spread this color scheme throughout every detail, creating a beautifully cohesive effect.

I will let Daniela take over to tell you all about it…. “The stationary created by Wild Flowers Calligraphy, we wanted to keep simple, using white cards and envelopes with pale blue calligraphy.

Relaxed elegance was achieved by hair and make up artist Cherie Spisso with the bride wearing her light blonde hair down in long soft curls. The look was complimented with natural makeup highlighting her dazzling blue eyes and stunning bridal glow.

Flowers Living did an outstanding job with all the floral displays. The bride’s bouquet continued our chosen color theme; red and white flowers with green leafs were tied together with a light blue and red sash. Whilst the groom’s boutonniere includes white flowers sprouting out of a green steam, a small red flower, all tied together with a light blue ribbon.

The wedding cake matches the room we displayed it in, being all white with a gorgeous blue geode detail. This blue detail includes light and dark blues matching the swimming pool. We are always impressed by Tuscan Wedding Cakes’s design and creativity.

The table setting and food, prepared by Delizia Ricevimenti, continue the color theme. A large white tablecloth was draped over the large, oval table, the white plates had small blue details and the food was mouth watering with small red details as well.

Bringing the bride and groom outside was one of our favorite parts of the shoot. We introduced our color scheme with a small, vintage Fiat 500. Green vines with red and white flowers were draped over the trunk of the car. And below we hung a large white sign saying “Dolce Vita” written in the same light blue calligraphy as the stationery.”
