Whilst you and I can barely bring ourselves to wave goodbye to Summer, the bridal fashion world already has their attention firmly set on 2018. And so with NYBFW just around the corner, this can mean only one thing – 2018 bridal collections are beginning to be unveiled!! As in previous years I will be bringing you a few of my favourites (in the hope you might love them too), including one or two new names. Which as it happens starts with today’s oh so romantic collection from Truvelle…..

I have been a fan of this particular boutique bridal label since I first set eyes on this sequin adorned stunner a year or so ago, but in case this name is new to you, let me introduce you. Based in the heart of Gastown, in Vancouver Canada, Truvelle is all about offering modern brides an alternative to the traditional wedding gown. Born from the belief that a bride should feel as good as she looks, their designs are effortlessly cool, with unconventional design details that make them perfect for the confident, and vintage loving, bride.

For Truvelle’s 2018 season, owner and designer Gaby and her team took a step back to refine and reflect on past collections, with the end result boasting a dreamy ensemble of delicate laces and a subtle colour palette that encourages individuality to shine. Undoubtedly their most feminine collection to date, the 2018 designs introduce fuller skirts, more structured bodices, and dramatic trains. At the same time, this ‘no-fuss’ bridal brand maintains their rep for effortless wedding dress design with simple silhouettes that add interest and comfort in their unending attention to detail.

Just beautiful don’t you think? I love the simplicity, and how each dress has one design detail that shines – be it a hint of color, or a stunning neckline or an open back.
