I’m not sure about you, but these vintage blue and white plates hold so many memories for me and I love that this shoot is packed full of Vintage Blue China wedding ideas. I love the heritage homestead that is the background of this shoot, the richly toned blue paired back with simple pale pink, coral blooms and a garden picked feel. The layers of this inspiration shoot work so well together.

Today’s dream team of Terri Hanlon Photography, stylist & florist Green and Bloom, stationer Elly Hartley Designs, cake designer Gillian Bell Cake, gown designer When Freddie Met Lily hair and makeup artist Ashley Rose and prop hire business Prop It Pretty.

Roberta of Green and Bloom explains the inspiration behind the shoot. “The styled shoot was inspired by a bygone era of opulence and glamour, featuring blue and white china, vintage crystal, pin tuck white linen, complemented with gorgeous garden styled blooms, romantic gowns, locally sourced organic desserts, set on a heritage protected property with the ‘Manson’ as the backdrop. The colours were keep soft and feminine, to ensure the blue and white china created a feature in the table setting.

The flowers, styling, planning and co-ordination of the shoot was undertaken by Green and Bloom, with the beautiful natural photography captured on the day by Terri Hanlon Photography who captured the photo shoot’s story through her soft, feminine, and natural photography style.”

“The setting for the shoot was a gorgeous heritage listed property in Marburg, known as ‘Woodlands of Marburg’ and displays the grandeur of a bygone era. Nestled on 250 acres of lush green gardens and rolling hills, Woodlands of Marburg was built in 1890, the picturesque Mansion is surrounded by beautiful Jacaranda trees and Bunya pines and history embedded in the heritage listed Mansion, Grotto, Vineyard, sweeping lawns, Sandstone Cellar. Andrew, the property’s pet Peacock also made an appearance for the shoot, walking past the styled tables more than once checking out what all the commotion was about.”

Elly Hartley Designs created stationery to match the theme. “The colour palette for the stationery was soft, feminine and beautiful, featuring a vintage inspired floral pattern for all pieces created by Elly Hartley Designs. The navy tied in and complemented the blue and white china in the table setting. The stationery was printed on uncoated stock which created a beautiful, natural feeling and texture for the stationery items.”

“The cake created by Gillian Bell Cake was soft and moist, melting in the mouth. The wedding cake was a vintage design featuring a two tier Elderflower scented butter cake simply finished with a dusting of icing sugar and elderflowers in a two tier bunt design. Ingredients are organic, locally sourced, with the Elderflower that garnished the top of the cake being grown in Gillian’s very own garden.”

Roberta of florist Green and Bloom tells, “The flower style was beautiful soft and graceful blooms that included: David Austin Roses, Peonies, Delphinium, Lisianthus, Queen Anne’s Lace, Borage, and Hydrangea, reminiscent of a vintage English Garden.  Green and Bloom created all the flowers for the day, and featured flowers in the table setting in various different crystal vases, from bud sizes to large footed bowls.”

“To complement the styling for the shoot and the model, the makeup was kept very natural, soft and glowy, keeping an emphasis the model’s porcelain tone skin looking flawless and effortless. Two different hair styles were created to complement the gowns with the first hair look aimed to keep the hair very soft and natural complemented with a fresh floral halo. The second hair look was ethereal with an old world feel with lots of texture and height. Ashley Rose created the looks to perfection.”
