Rather than use bouquets and arrangements with blooms that lean to a more traditional aesthetic, they wanted to focus on a natural organic look that would complement the white brick walls and industrial vibe of the Hofheimer Building venue. Inspired by her own experience as a black wedding planner, Ciera also mentions that she would love to see more local black brides or grooms embrace the beauty and variety of ceremony and reception spaces available in Virginia's capital. Simple spaces can be transformed just by infusing rich autumnal hues, metallics, and unique furniture (particularly of the velvet type!). And of course, we cannot get enough of this gorgeous couple's smiles and total happy vibes! We think that's the best inspiration of them all.
