We’re glad you asked! Matchology was created by blog editors who receive submissions every single day. We’re in the trenches! You can rest easy knowing we’ve made the whole process as simple as possible. That’s also why we built in features that integrate easily into your workflow, including our unique algorithm that recommends the best publications to submit a particular wedding or styled shoot to (based on style, niche, exclusivity, location and more), saving you time and increasing your chances of being published!
Okay, I’m hooked. So how does it work?
You’ll upload your event or shoot, using our intuitive system, and provide a few key details about it, such as category, style and setting. There’s a single questionnaire and universal submission requirements across all blogs, plus you can use one of your existing systems to upload pictures, including Dropbox, Pass, SmugMug or Pixieset. Our fancy algorithm will work its magic and match you with the publications that are the best fit. No more submitting blindly! You’ll choose which blog(s) to submit to, and from there, you’ll be guided in the publication process if they accept, and kept informed all the way.
Which blogs will I be able to submit to?
At the moment, Matchology is exclusive to Aisle Society blogs. We regularly add new bloggers to our select list of quality US and international publications, which span a wide variety of styles, niches and locales, and currently includes:
Aisle Perfect | Apple Brides | Artfully Wed | Bajan Wed | Belle The Magazine | The Big Fat Indian Wedding | B.LOVED | Bridal Musings | The Budget Savvy Bride | Burnett's Boards | Chic Vintage Brides | Classic Bride | Coastal Bride | Elizabeth Anne Designs | Every Last Detail | Glamour & Grace | Hey Wedding Lady | Knotsvilla | Love Inc. | The Overwhelmed Bride | Marry Me Tampa Bay | Mountainside Bride | My Hotel Wedding | Paper & Lace | Polka Dot Bride | Pretty Pear Bride | Rocky Mountain Bride | SouthBound Bride | Southern California Bride | Storyboard Wedding | Swooned | Tidewater & Tulle | United With Love
Does Matchology match submissions to blogs by region?
Yes! Our algorithm takes account of style, location, exclusivity and setting, so if you submit an event that took place in a specific region, it will only match you to blogs accepting submissions from that region (including national and international blogs). It's a great way to discover and work with some of our talented local blogs!
How will I know if a submission has been accepted?
The lines of communication between submitter and editor are always open! You can check in on the status of a submission at any time and you will be notified via email when a editor has accepted (or passed on) a submission.
Do I have to be a photographer to use Matchology?
No, you don’t. If you’re a vendor and worked on an event, you’ll be able to submit it. When you complete our user-friendly submission form, you’ll be required to include the photographer’s details for copyright purposes.
Do you accept video?
We love video! When submitting a shoot or event, you’ll find a link to the video in our form that will allow you to include this alongside the image gallery.
How do I know if the event or shoot has already been submitted?
We encourage vendor teams to communicate with each other prior to an event and designate a point person(s) to handle the submission process. When an event featuring your work has been published, you’ll be notified via email with the feature link. Exciting!
I’m a wedding blogger. Can I join Matchology as a publisher?
